Central Election Commission of the Republic of China (Traditional Chinese: 中央選舉委員會) is a permanent statutory agency established to be responsible for managing local and national elections. It is an important agency which carries out elections and enhances the democracy in the Free Area of the Republic of China. It is also charged with improving the election legal system, improve the quality of service, reinforce impartiality and independence. It has offices in all county, cities and some provinces and municipality. It is headed by the Chairman of commissioners or Chief of Commissioners.
